# Get Float

### Description

Read and store the value corresponding to key in the preference file if it exists.

**To create it**, right-click in the editor and select <mark style="color:purple;">Create Node/Tasks/Player Prefs/Get Float</mark>

This task node has a number of fields, that are highlighted in picture below.

| Name              | Description                             |
| ----------------- | --------------------------------------- |
| Node Name         | Name of node.                           |
| Ignore About Self | Whether node ignores abort self or not. |
| Key               | Key name in string representation.      |
| Store Key         | Key to store prefs float value.         |
